How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Out Of Time' by Blur

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Blur tracks to try and understand what made Blur tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Blur's music. We then listened to the song 'Out Of Time' byBlur, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Out Of Time'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Out Of Time' by Blur. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Out Of Time' by Blur, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Blur track 'Out Of Time'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Blur, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Out Of Time', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Blur song ' Out Of Time'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
