How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Prayer For The Dying' by Seal

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Seal tracks to try and understand what made Seal tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Seal's music. We then listened to the song 'Prayer For The Dying' bySeal, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Prayer For The Dying'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Prayer For The Dying' by Seal. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Prayer For The Dying' by Seal, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Seal track 'Prayer For The Dying'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Seal, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Prayer For The Dying', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Seal song ' Prayer For The Dying'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
