How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Rock Show' by Blink 182

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Blink 182 tracks to try and understand what made Blink 182 tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Blink 182's music. We then listened to the song 'Rock Show' byBlink 182, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Rock Show'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Rock Show' by Blink 182. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Rock Show' by Blink 182, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Blink 182 track 'Rock Show'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Blink 182, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Rock Show', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Blink 182 song ' Rock Show'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
