How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Rubber Ball' by Bobby Vee

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Bobby Vee tracks to try and understand what made Bobby Vee tracks sound so good! SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Rubber Ball' by Bobby Vee. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Rubber Ball' by Bobby Vee, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Bobby Vee track 'Rubber Ball'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Bobby Vee, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Rubber Ball', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Bobby Vee song ' Rubber Ball'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
