How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Say You Will' by Foreigner

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Foreigner tracks to try and understand what made Foreigner tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Foreigner's music. We then listened to the song 'Say You Will' byForeigner, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Say You Will'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Say You Will' by Foreigner. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Say You Will' by Foreigner, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Foreigner track 'Say You Will'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Foreigner, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Say You Will', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Foreigner song ' Say You Will'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
