How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Seven Seas' by Echo & The Bunnymen

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Echo & Bunnymen tracks to try and understand what made Echo & The Bunnymen tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Echo & The Bunnymen's music. We then listened to the song 'Seven Seas' byEcho & The Bunnymen, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Seven Seas'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Seven Seas' by Echo & The Bunnymen. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Seven Seas' by Echo & The Bunnymen, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Echo & The Bunnymen track 'Seven Seas'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Echo & The Bunnymen, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Seven Seas', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Echo & Bunnymen song ' Seven Seas'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
