In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Cage Elephant tracks to try and understand what made Cage The Elephant tracks sound so good! We then listened to the song 'Shake Me Down' byCage The Elephant, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Shake Me Down'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Shake Me Down' by Cage The Elephant. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Shake Me Down' by Cage The Elephant, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Cage The Elephant track 'Shake Me Down'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Cage The Elephant, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Shake Me Down', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Cage Elephant song ' Shake Me Down'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
