How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Shame Shame Shame' by Shirley & Co

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Shirley & Co tracks to try and understand what made Shirley & Co tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Shirley & Co's music. We then listened to the song 'Shame Shame Shame' byShirley & Co, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Shame Shame Shame'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Shame Shame Shame' by Shirley & Co. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Shame Shame Shame' by Shirley & Co, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Shirley & Co track 'Shame Shame Shame'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Shirley & Co, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Shame Shame Shame', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Shirley & Co song ' Shame Shame Shame'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
