How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Silver Bells' by Bing Crosby

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Bing Crosby tracks to try and understand what made Bing Crosby tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Bing Crosby's music. We then listened to the song 'Silver Bells' byBing Crosby, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Silver Bells'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Silver Bells' by Bing Crosby. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Silver Bells' by Bing Crosby, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Bing Crosby track 'Silver Bells'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Bing Crosby, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Silver Bells', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Bing Crosby song ' Silver Bells'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
