How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Since You've Been Gone' by Rainbow

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Rainbow tracks to try and understand what made Rainbow tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Rainbow's music. We then listened to the song 'Since You've Been Gone' byRainbow, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Since You've Been Gone'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Since You've Been Gone' by Rainbow. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Since You've Been Gone' by Rainbow, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Rainbow track 'Since You've Been Gone'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Rainbow, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Since You've Been Gone', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Rainbow song ' Since You've Been Gone'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
