How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Sir Duke' by Stevie Wonder

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Stevie Wonder tracks to try and understand what made Stevie Wonder tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Stevie Wonder's music. We then listened to the song 'Sir Duke' byStevie Wonder, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Sir Duke'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Sir Duke' by Stevie Wonder. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Sir Duke' by Stevie Wonder, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Stevie Wonder track 'Sir Duke'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Stevie Wonder, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Sir Duke', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Stevie Wonder song ' Sir Duke'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
