How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Sit Down' by James

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many James tracks to try and understand what made James tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with James's music. We then listened to the song 'Sit Down' byJames, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Sit Down'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Sit Down' by James. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Sit Down' by James, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original James track 'Sit Down'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to James, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Sit Down', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The James song ' Sit Down'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
