How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Slap And Tickle' by Squeeze

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Squeeze tracks to try and understand what made Squeeze tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Squeeze's music. We then listened to the song 'Slap And Tickle' bySqueeze, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Slap And Tickle'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Slap And Tickle' by Squeeze. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Slap And Tickle' by Squeeze, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Squeeze track 'Slap And Tickle'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Squeeze, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Slap And Tickle', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Squeeze song ' Slap And Tickle'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
