We then listened to the song 'Something's Been Making Me Blue' bySmokie, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Something's Been Making Me Blue'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Something's Been Making Me Blue' by Smokie. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Something's Been Making Me Blue' by Smokie, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Smokie track 'Something's Been Making Me Blue'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Smokie, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Something's Been Making Me Blue', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Smokie song ' Something's Been Making Me Blue'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
