In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Ben Harper tracks to try and understand what made Ben Harper tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Ben Harper's music. We then listened to the song 'Steal My Kisses' byBen Harper, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Steal My Kisses'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Steal My Kisses' by Ben Harper. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Steal My Kisses' by Ben Harper, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Ben Harper track 'Steal My Kisses'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Ben Harper, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Steal My Kisses', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Ben Harper song ' Steal My Kisses'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
