How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Stop Stop Stop' by The Hollies

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Hollies tracks to try and understand what made The Hollies tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Hollies's music. We then listened to the song 'Stop Stop Stop' byThe Hollies, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Stop Stop Stop'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Stop Stop Stop' by The Hollies. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Stop Stop Stop' by The Hollies, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Hollies track 'Stop Stop Stop'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Hollies, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Stop Stop Stop', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Hollies song ' Stop Stop Stop'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
