How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Take The Box' by Amy Winehouse

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Amy Winehouse tracks to try and understand what made Amy Winehouse tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Amy Winehouse's music. We then listened to the song 'Take The Box' byAmy Winehouse, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Take The Box'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Take The Box' by Amy Winehouse. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Take The Box' by Amy Winehouse, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Amy Winehouse track 'Take The Box'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Amy Winehouse, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Take The Box', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Amy Winehouse song ' Take The Box'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
