How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Best' by Tina Turner

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Tina Turner tracks to try and understand what made Tina Turner tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Tina Turner's music. We then listened to the song 'The Best' byTina Turner, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Best'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Best' by Tina Turner. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Best' by Tina Turner, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Tina Turner track 'The Best'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Tina Turner, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Best', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Tina Turner song ' The Best'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
