How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Call' by Backstreet Boys

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Backstreet Boys tracks to try and understand what made Backstreet Boys tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Backstreet Boys's music. We then listened to the song 'The Call' byBackstreet Boys, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Call'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Call' by Backstreet Boys. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Call' by Backstreet Boys, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Backstreet Boys track 'The Call'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Backstreet Boys, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Call', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Backstreet Boys song ' The Call'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
