In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Wham! tracks to try and understand what made Wham! tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Wham!'s music. We then listened to the song 'The Edge Of Heaven' byWham!, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Edge Of Heaven'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Edge Of Heaven' by Wham!. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Edge Of Heaven' by Wham!, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Wham! track 'The Edge Of Heaven'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Wham!, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Edge Of Heaven', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Wham! song ' The Edge Of Heaven'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
