How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Middle' by Jimmy Eat World

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Jimmy Eat World tracks to try and understand what made Jimmy Eat World tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Jimmy Eat World's music. We then listened to the song 'The Middle' byJimmy Eat World, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Middle'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Middle' by Jimmy Eat World. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Middle' by Jimmy Eat World, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Jimmy Eat World track 'The Middle'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Jimmy Eat World, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Middle', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Jimmy Eat World song ' The Middle'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
