How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Moonshiner' by The Original Artist

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Original Artist tracks to try and understand what made The Original Artist tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Original Artist's music. We then listened to the song 'The Moonshiner' byThe Original Artist, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Moonshiner'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Moonshiner' by The Original Artist. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Moonshiner' by The Original Artist, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Original Artist track 'The Moonshiner'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Original Artist, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Moonshiner', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Original Artist song ' The Moonshiner'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
