How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Perfect Year' by Dina Carroll

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Dina Carroll tracks to try and understand what made Dina Carroll tracks sound so good! Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Perfect Year' by Dina Carroll, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Dina Carroll track 'The Perfect Year'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Dina Carroll, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Perfect Year', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Dina Carroll song ' The Perfect Year'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
