How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Show' by Girls Aloud

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Girls Aloud tracks to try and understand what made Girls Aloud tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Girls Aloud's music. We then listened to the song 'The Show' byGirls Aloud, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Show'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Show' by Girls Aloud. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Show' by Girls Aloud, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Girls Aloud track 'The Show'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Girls Aloud, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Show', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Girls Aloud song ' The Show'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
