In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Joe Cocker tracks to try and understand what made Joe Cocker tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Joe Cocker's music. We then listened to the song 'The Simple Things' byJoe Cocker, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Simple Things'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Simple Things' by Joe Cocker. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Simple Things' by Joe Cocker, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Joe Cocker track 'The Simple Things'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Joe Cocker, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Simple Things', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Joe Cocker song ' The Simple Things'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
