How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Snake' by Al Wilson

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Al Wilson tracks to try and understand what made Al Wilson tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Al Wilson's music. We then listened to the song 'The Snake' byAl Wilson, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Snake'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Snake' by Al Wilson. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Snake' by Al Wilson, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Al Wilson track 'The Snake'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Al Wilson, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Snake', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Al Wilson song ' The Snake'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
