How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Way' by Fast Ball

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Fast Ball tracks to try and understand what made Fast Ball tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Fast Ball's music. We then listened to the song 'The Way' byFast Ball, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Way'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Way' by Fast Ball. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Way' by Fast Ball, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Fast Ball track 'The Way'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Fast Ball, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Way', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Fast Ball song ' The Way'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
