How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The World Is Outside' by Ghosts

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Ghosts tracks to try and understand what made Ghosts tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Ghosts's music. We then listened to the song 'The World Is Outside' byGhosts, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The World Is Outside'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The World Is Outside' by Ghosts. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The World Is Outside' by Ghosts, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Ghosts track 'The World Is Outside'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Ghosts, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The World Is Outside', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Ghosts song ' The World Is Outside'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
