How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'The Young Ones' by Cliff Richard

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Cliff Richard tracks to try and understand what made Cliff Richard tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Cliff Richard's music. We then listened to the song 'The Young Ones' byCliff Richard, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'The Young Ones'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'The Young Ones' by Cliff Richard. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'The Young Ones' by Cliff Richard, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Cliff Richard track 'The Young Ones'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Cliff Richard, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'The Young Ones', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Cliff Richard song ' The Young Ones'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
