How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'These Dreams' by Heart

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Heart tracks to try and understand what made Heart tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Heart's music. We then listened to the song 'These Dreams' byHeart, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'These Dreams'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'These Dreams' by Heart. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'These Dreams' by Heart, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Heart track 'These Dreams'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Heart, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'These Dreams', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Heart song ' These Dreams'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
