How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Tom Hark' by The Piranhas

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Piranhas tracks to try and understand what made The Piranhas tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Piranhas's music. We then listened to the song 'Tom Hark' byThe Piranhas, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Tom Hark'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Tom Hark' by The Piranhas. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Tom Hark' by The Piranhas, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Piranhas track 'Tom Hark'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Piranhas, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Tom Hark', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Piranhas song ' Tom Hark'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
