How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Tonight' by David Bowie

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many David Bowie tracks to try and understand what made David Bowie tracks sound so good! Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Tonight' by David Bowie, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original David Bowie track 'Tonight'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to David Bowie, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Tonight', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The David Bowie song ' Tonight'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG).
