How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Too Bad' by Nickelback

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Nickelback tracks to try and understand what made Nickelback tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Nickelback's music. We then listened to the song 'Too Bad' byNickelback, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Too Bad'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Too Bad' by Nickelback. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Too Bad' by Nickelback, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Nickelback track 'Too Bad'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Nickelback, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Too Bad', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Nickelback song ' Too Bad'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
