How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Use It Up Wear It Out' by Odyssey

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Odyssey tracks to try and understand what made Odyssey tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Odyssey's music. We then listened to the song 'Use It Up Wear It Out' byOdyssey, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Use It Up Wear It Out'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Use It Up Wear It Out' by Odyssey. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Use It Up Wear It Out' by Odyssey, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Odyssey track 'Use It Up Wear It Out'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Odyssey, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Use It Up Wear It Out', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Odyssey song ' Use It Up Wear It Out'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
