How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Waka Waka' by Shakira

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Shakira tracks to try and understand what made Shakira tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Shakira's music. We then listened to the song 'Waka Waka' byShakira, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Waka Waka'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Waka Waka' by Shakira. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Waka Waka' by Shakira, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Shakira track 'Waka Waka'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Shakira, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Waka Waka', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Shakira song ' Waka Waka'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
