In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Val Doonican tracks to try and understand what made Val Doonican tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Val Doonican's music. We then listened to the song 'Walk Tall' byVal Doonican, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Walk Tall'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Walk Tall' by Val Doonican. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Walk Tall' by Val Doonican, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Val Doonican track 'Walk Tall'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Val Doonican, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Walk Tall', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Val Doonican song ' Walk Tall'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
