How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'What's This Life For' by Creed

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Creed tracks to try and understand what made Creed tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Creed's music. We then listened to the song 'What's This Life For' byCreed, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'What's This Life For'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'What's This Life For' by Creed. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'What's This Life For' by Creed, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Creed track 'What's This Life For'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Creed, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'What's This Life For', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Creed song ' What's This Life For'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
