In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Will Mellor tracks to try and understand what made Will Mellor tracks sound so good! We then listened to the song 'When I Need You' byWill Mellor, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'When I Need You'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'When I Need You' by Will Mellor. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'When I Need You' by Will Mellor, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Will Mellor track 'When I Need You'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Will Mellor, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'When I Need You', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Will Mellor song ' When I Need You'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG).
