SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Whenever You Need Somebody' by Rick Astley. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Whenever You Need Somebody' by Rick Astley, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Rick Astley track 'Whenever You Need Somebody'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Rick Astley, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Whenever You Need Somebody', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Rick Astley song ' Whenever You Need Somebody'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
