In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Dido tracks to try and understand what made Dido tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Dido's music. We then listened to the song 'White Flag' byDido, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'White Flag'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'White Flag' by Dido. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'White Flag' by Dido, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Dido track 'White Flag'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Dido, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'White Flag', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Dido song ' White Flag'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
