How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Wild Boys' by Duran Duran

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Duran Duran tracks to try and understand what made Duran Duran tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Duran Duran's music. We then listened to the song 'Wild Boys' byDuran Duran, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Wild Boys'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Wild Boys' by Duran Duran. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Wild Boys' by Duran Duran, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Duran Duran track 'Wild Boys'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Duran Duran, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Wild Boys', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Duran Duran song ' Wild Boys'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
