How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Wild Wild Angels' by Smokie

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Smokie tracks to try and understand what made Smokie tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Smokie's music. We then listened to the song 'Wild Wild Angels' bySmokie, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Wild Wild Angels'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Wild Wild Angels' by Smokie. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Wild Wild Angels' by Smokie, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Smokie track 'Wild Wild Angels'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Smokie, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Wild Wild Angels', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Smokie song ' Wild Wild Angels'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
