How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Winter Winds' by Mumford & Sons

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Mumford & Sons tracks to try and understand what made Mumford & Sons tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Mumford & Sons's music. We then listened to the song 'Winter Winds' byMumford & Sons, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Winter Winds'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Winter Winds' by Mumford & Sons. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Winter Winds' by Mumford & Sons, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Mumford & Sons track 'Winter Winds'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Mumford & Sons, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Winter Winds', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Mumford & Sons song ' Winter Winds'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
