How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Witches Brew' by Katy B

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Katy B tracks to try and understand what made Katy B tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Katy B's music. We then listened to the song 'Witches Brew' byKaty B, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Witches Brew'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Witches Brew' by Katy B. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Witches Brew' by Katy B, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Katy B track 'Witches Brew'.

We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Katy B song ' Witches Brew'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
