How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Writings On The Wall' by Plan B

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Plan B tracks to try and understand what made Plan B tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Plan B's music. We then listened to the song 'Writings On The Wall' byPlan B, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Writings On The Wall'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Writings On The Wall' by Plan B. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Writings On The Wall' by Plan B, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Plan B track 'Writings On The Wall'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Plan B, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Writings On The Wall', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Plan B song ' Writings On The Wall'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
