In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Ray Charles tracks to try and understand what made Ray Charles tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Ray Charles's music. We then listened to the song 'You Don't Know Me' byRay Charles, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'You Don't Know Me'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'You Don't Know Me' by Ray Charles. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'You Don't Know Me' by Ray Charles, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Ray Charles track 'You Don't Know Me'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Ray Charles, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'You Don't Know Me', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Ray Charles song ' You Don't Know Me'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
