How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'You Look So Fine' by Garbage

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Garbage tracks to try and understand what made Garbage tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Garbage's music. We then listened to the song 'You Look So Fine' byGarbage, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'You Look So Fine'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'You Look So Fine' by Garbage. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'You Look So Fine' by Garbage, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Garbage track 'You Look So Fine'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Garbage, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'You Look So Fine', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Garbage song ' You Look So Fine'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
