How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'You Should be Dancing' by Bee Gees

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Bee Gees tracks to try and understand what made Bee Gees tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Bee Gees's music. We then listened to the song 'You Should be Dancing' byBee Gees, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'You Should be Dancing'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'You Should be Dancing' by Bee Gees. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'You Should be Dancing' by Bee Gees, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Bee Gees track 'You Should be Dancing'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Bee Gees, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'You Should be Dancing', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Bee Gees song ' You Should be Dancing'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
